During one of my creative blocks, while I was watching the popular tv series Cosmos, I started thinking of which effect a hill-sized cosmic satellite with an enormous gravitational attraction would have if it got closer to our planet or if it even landed on Earth like a small spaceship.
Tides would rise, big cities would be engulfed, the ground wouldn’t stop shaking and rocks would slowly reach the sky as if they were attracted by a huge magnet. The consequences would be catastrophic and we could only watch helplessly.
But all this would be nothing else but magical through the eyes of a child.
Compositing realized with Photoshop with images purchased on Adobe Stock. Also some matte painting techniques were used, allowing me to make a more realistic image.
